photographing photographers - Saskatoon photographers

I love to photograph photographers, they always seem to have great ideas to mesh with mine. This is Lisa Landrie of Shutterbug photography.  Check out her blog:  http://lisalandrie.blogspot.com/, it's one of my fav's to follow.  She said that she has never had a family photo done before, so I thought it was about time:).  We spent some time with them on one beautiful afternoon.  They were a blast to work with, and super photogenic!  It's great taking photos of photographers families.  They are used to having a camera around all the time and take direction incredibly well.  Here are just a few of my favourites.     

M & J's anniversary

Today my husband and I celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary.  I feel so lucky to have met the man of my dreams, and so thankful for each day we spend together. 

The Balanced Body - Saskatoon photography

This is Olivia, she is the owner of The Balanced Body in Saskatoon.  She specializes in Pilates classes, personal training, and running clinics, among other things.  She needed some professional photos for her website, and gave me a call. 

I have since done personal training with her as well as taken part in her Pilates classes.  I have loved both!  I never thought I would be into Pilates, in fact I had no desire what so ever to try it.  I ended up having some back problems and guess what the doctor suggested I do?  You guessed it.... Pilates.  As it turns out I love it!  It's not super hard that once you do it you never want to do it again, but it is definitely challenging, and all my back issues had cleared up.  I would highly suggest taking part in one of her classes, she is a great instructor and the class sizes are small, which I love.  To see everything she offers and to see more of my photography, check out her website:  www.thebalancedbody.ca.  I would highly recommend her for all strengths and skill levels. 

Due Date - July 21st

Well here we are, it's July 21st, our due date, and still no baby.  Instead of being in the hospital welcoming our bundle of joy, I'm in my office editing a wedding.  Don't get me wrong, I love looking at this beautiful couple, I was just hoping that our little peanut would have arrived by now. 

I've come to the realization that they come when they want, no matter how much you walk, drink raspberry tea, take baths, or get acupuncture.  These baby's really have a mind of their own from day 1, and it will come when it's ready.  I'm really hoping that this is a sign that we will have a laid back baby.  I'm sure that isn't how it works, but one can hope, right? 

So now we play the waiting game... I'll keep you posted with any news! 

The following are a couple of images from a shoot I did with Gina (www.ginasportraits.com), back in April when we were in Banff for a photography convention.  I was around 6 months preggo and Gina wanted to head down by the river to get some maternity shots using a blanket from her hotel room.  We did the shoot in about 10 minutes, it was around -5 that morning, so it was a little chilly considering the attire I was wearing.  Either way, it was worth every minute (and goose bump).  The images we got were amazing!  Sometimes you just have to trust the photographer and do what they say, even if it's stripping down in below zero temperatures and standing on an ice covered river. 

Broadway grad session - Saskatoon grad photographer

We started off this grad session at the Broadway Cafe, then ventured down Broadway.  It was a beautiful day, which suited the beautiful grad perfectly:). 

hot engagement - Saskatoon photographers

This hot couple kept saying how nervous they were from the start of their engagement session, but it didn't show even in the very first image.  They were so natural in front of my camera it was almost impossible to get a bad shot.  We are looking forward to their wedding this fall!  Good luck with all the last minute wedding planning.

Handsome with age - Saskatoon photographers

You might recognize this little boy.  We have photographed him in his mom's belly, his newborn session, his 3 month session, and this is his 6 month session.  We actually just did his 9 month photos (yes, still behind on the blogging!).  He just keeps getting more handsome with age.  Can't wait until he turns 1!
