The first wedding of the season - Saskatoon photographers

Where do I even start with this gorgeous wedding???  I guess it was the first wedding I photographed since having my son back in April.  They choose a Saturday in the middle of July and the weather was gorgeous.  Not too hot and not too cold, but it wasn't raining, like the previous 5 or so Saturday's before this one.  They had me for the whole day, so we started our day at the brides home to get some of the getting ready shots.  All of the brides details were so gorgeous.  I especially loved her "something old", which was her husbands grandmothers broach and both of her grandmothers rings:).  After a few tears were shed that morning, we headed to the church.

After a lovely mass and ceremony we headed to the Broadway Cafe to grab a bite to eat and get some cute shots in their adorable diner (Thanks again, Broadway Cafe, for being such gracious hosts!).  We stuck around the Broadway area, then headed out to the airport.  I seriously lucked out because this groom is a pilot!  I was in heaven out there.  I have never had the opportunity to photograph there before, so I just soaked in every minute with my jaw to the floor, lol.  I could have spent another full day photographing these two out there, but the reception was just around the corner, so we headed back to downtown Saskatoon.

Their supper was at the 'Top of the Inn' at the Sheraton, and as always, had a delicious meal.  Once supper was wrapped up, we laughed and cried, and cried some more during those speeches.  Once this couple had their first dance as husband and wife, it was late, and I was pooped.  I went home exhausted, but so happy.  As I was going to bed that night, I was so thankful that I have found exactly what I'm supposed to be doing in life.  I am also so thankful to those who allow me to play such a big role in their special days.  I really couldn't do this without them.  Thank you to this lovely couple and anyone else who has invited us to be part of their day.

So, here it is... my first wedding of the season.  The full meal deal!  I've got to warn you, its a long one:).

Huge thank you to the best man, who was a pro making sure this beautiful brides dress looked fabulous all day:).
