This year I didn't take on very many weddings, so the weddings that I did photograph were my favorites to date. This one is no exception. Sometimes I wish I could just share the entire wedding, but I've got a feeling that you don't have hours and hours to sit on my blog:).
This fairytale wedding was out at the Cedar Lodge on Blackstrap lake here in Saskatchewan. They were calling for 90% chance of rain the day before, so needless to say, I was expecting to be doing most of the shoot with umbrellas. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but the day turned out absolutely beautiful (as I'm sure you can tell by the images)!
It really was a perfect day! The couple was so laid back and pretty darn easy on the eyes:), the wedding party had so much fun, and the ceremony was like a scene right out of a movie, plus the groom rides a Harley. What more could I ask for???
The first look!
Here I am on a strangers boat to get the following shot. Thanks to my second shooter for capturing this for me!
This little bunny hopped in on our formals. Seriously, it doesn't get much cuter than this!
OK, maybe it does.....
The couple did a very unique variation of the sand ceremony or unity candle. The painted a canvas blending the two colors of paint. How cool is that???
A great knife is a great investment. We received some great knives for a wedding gift and will never go back to the one's that we owned before. It makes a world of difference. If you can't afford a whole set, go out and buy just one. You won't regret it!
We've got some short and sweet sessions coming up! Thinking of getting some beautiful, professional Christmas cards, but don't want to book a full session? This is the deal for you! Contact us for details: memoriesbymandy@shaw.ca
Another photogenic family I had the pleasure of meeting. Life is grand.
We did this session at Emma Lake last summer. What a perfect location for this adorable family of 3.
These blocks are one of my favorite things! I got them for my daughter's room. I told the lady who makes them that her room is owl themed and this is what she came up with. Seriously, so cute!!! Want to check out more of her blocks? Here is her facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sweet-Peas-Honey-Bees-Boutique/138107766285986. They also make a great gift;).
This beautiful mama and I went to high school together way back when, and probably haven't seen each other since. We connected through facebook, where I found out she married a New Zealand-er and has been living there for the last several years. She made the long trek home, back to Saskatoon, with her little girl in tow and wanted some photos done, since she doesn't seem to have any of the two of them (sound familiar? lol).
It was so great to get to see her again and meet her little princess who is so photogenic and so sweet at 8 months old. We did this session back at our old stomping grounds (the shack, in the north end). I'm so happy to have captured these memories for an old friend. It was a pleasure to see you again!
